About Coach Kat
Hi! My name is Kat Sweeney (she/her). I’m a Queer, Master Certified Life and ADHD Coach. And also a GenX, former-latchkey-kid-turned-slightly-feral adult.
I work with queer and neurodivergent adults who are tired of trying t “fit in” and are ready to create lives that feel manageable and authentic. My coaching is heart-centered, practical, and built on the values of authenticity, autonomy, belonging, connection, creativity, and compassion.
And yes, I am Queer and have ADHD myself, and I’m also the mom of two wildly different neurodivergent children. Two different types of ADHD, for one thing. When I was in school myself, my report cards were filled with “isn’t living up to her potential.” For years, I believed I was broken, lazy, or failing. School was a battlefield for my mother and myself.
Then as a mother? Parenting was chaos. I felt lost, I didn’t know how to help my kid, and was pretty sure I was a failure. The shame was heavy.
What I know now – and what I want YOU to know – is this: you are not broken, and you do not need to be fixed.
In our work together, I’ll help you drop the shame and guilt that’s been weighing you down; build every day executive function skills (without boring cookie-cutter systems); find clarity in your values and direction, and create a life that feels doable, joyful, and fully yours.
I don’t believe in “fixing people” – I believe in supporting you to live authentically and with more ease, even if that looks different than the so-called “norm.”

A Few Quirky Facts About Me
- Purple isn’t just my favorite color – it’s practically my lifestyle.
- Rainbow is also a color (don’t argue with me on this one).
- Sunflowers are my joy and my reminder to keep turning toward the light. I collect Hello Kitty, because joy matters – even the playful kind.
- I live with two partners, two ridiculously cute dogs and one very handsome cat who likes to rule the house.
- Alongside ADHD, chronic pain, and CPTSD, I also have aphantasia – which means I literally can’t picture things in my mind’s eye. (Yes, it’s as weird as it sounds.)
