Holiday Updates
Author Note: I realized I drafted this about 10 days before I realized it was still in draft! ADHD Brain for the win!
December was a very tough month for my family. Those of you who follow me on YouTube will note I’ve been absent. I’ll be updating you all as to why and what’s next in the next blog entry so come back for that.
Despite the difficulties we faced this month, we did get to enjoy the holidays as best we could. We made an effort – and that was important. In addition to all the negative things that happened – the BEST thing is – we got a new puppy!
Many of you already know our 3 year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Izzy. She’s the Blenheim (ruby and white) dog in the photos. Now in December we rescued another Cavvy – a gorgeous ruby boy we named Biscuit. He was just over 6 months old when we got him and while the puppy stage is VERY challenging – he’s fit right in to the family and we all love him. Even Izzy and their feline brother Casper!
I stayed in my jammies all day on Christmas, even with going to visit my mom. And the photo of me with the large sack was the gifts I dropped off at my adult-daughter’s house (who was covid quarantined). Then I visited some dear friends, and wore new Christmas jammies and slippers to the visit, where I spent time with a bunch of other dogs. It was a dog-loving Christmas!
It wasn’t our usual Christmas, and there were things (and people) I missed. But we also started some new traditions, and allowed ourselves grace to be both happy and sad during the holidays. And as we move on towards the new year, I’m happy with that.
Speaking of the new year, that’s coming up very soon – I’ll be posting shortly with updates about what was going on as well as what to expect from this site and my other social media platforms. I hope you come back for that.
I hope that you enjoyed your holiday season, whatever holidays you celebrate. Stay safe and warm, my friends.
Happy Holidays!
With Love,
Kat
